Create backend inventory

HI there

I am looking to create a type of “inventory” in the backend of my hotel website.

The inventory would not be displayed to the public, and would only be different categories of inventory lists of what is currently in each of the rooms to enable the housekeeping staff to login, and “tick” / “comment” on each of the items

It would need to be easy to use for the housekeeping staff

I would then login and see the status of the inventory on a monthly basis.

Any ideas to point me in the right direcltion would be great, thank you ??
