    Dear drmikegreen,

I just bought the premium license, trying to create a 3-year-reading-plan.

Unfortunately, there are very view information about the premium plugin (no screenshots, website or something else, to inform how it works and how it looks like. So I bought a license, to see, how it works.)

After purchase, it was told, that the license expires after one year. It would be more transparent, to give this information before purchase.

So however, what does it mean, if the license expires? You can not configure new plans? You can not use existing plans without renewed license? Or you just can’t download updates of the premium plugin, but can use it without updates furthermore?

I would be glad, if you can give some transparent information, what happens, after the license expires, and if you are forced, to pay a yearly subscription.

    Best wishes

Hi there cd, the maintainer of the premium plug-in is currently hospitalized! He’s improving though, and will get back to you as soon as he is able ??

Please accept my apologies for the long delay in answering this. As my colleague informed you, I was hospitalized. Then, while I was still recovering at home, my wife had to be hospitalized. Happily, I was well enough to take care of her when she got home. It has, however, taken me some time to get back to my work.

In addition, just before I was hospitalized, I discovered a bug in the Bible Reading Plans plugin which was causing the Create Bible Reading Plans plugin to effectively not work. So I wanted to fix that before responding to you. That bug is now fixed in Version 3.0 of the Bible Reading Plans plugin. And it is possible that that bug was causing you considerable confusion about how the Create Bible Reading Plans plugin worked.

However, to specifically address your questions:

The present version of the Create Bible Reading Plans and Bible Reading Plans plugins are not set up to handle multi-year plans. What you want, however, has been requested by others. I hope to make changes to these plugins to enable them to handle multi-year plans and am open to suggestions as to how to designate the different years. Perhaps it would be most convenient to use different forms for each year, e.g.

You could, however, implement a multi-year system by creating separate plans for each of the years and putting them on different pages in your site.

I have endeavored to put adequate explanations as to how to use the Create Bible Reading Plans plugin on the input page for the plugin. We can make them better if you can ask specific questions, which I can answer, then work that answer into the explanations.

I will add a note about the one-year license. That one year, however, only applies to the time in which you use to create one or more Bible Reading Plans. It does not apply to the plans themselves. You can use whatever plans you create in that one year forever. You need only to renew if you wish to create additional plans. And you can freely download any updates that occur during the initial year.

Finally, if you wish to ask for a refund of your purchase of the Create Bible Reading Plans plugin license, please do. Perhaps, after I’ve had time to implement the multi-year feature you hope to use, you could purchase a new license.

I just added an explanation about the one-year license.

Please let me know whether or not you have further questions,
