Create buttons

    Hey there,

    I started to use TablePress and I have some issues. I want to insert buttons to my tables and I just simply don’t know how could I do that. I use MaxButtons plugin which seems to be integrated with TablePress, but it doesn’t work. I created my buttons in Maxbuttons. Then I click Advanced Editor in TablePress. I can click on the “Add button” option and I can pick my buttons. Then I click on “use this button” and I can insert my link, add rel “nofollow” etc. Then I would click the “insert button into editor” button and nothing happens.
    Could you please help me with this issue? Or can you provide me some other button plugins which are also integrated with TablePress?

    MaxButtons developer here. You can use maxButtons with TablePress, this should be no problem. I didn’t know that the ‘add button’ shows up in the advanced editor of TablePress. It seems that part doesn’t work, and I’ll make a task for it on our todo-list to get this working.

    In the meanwhile I’d suggest to just use the shortcode manually, i.e. putting [maxbutton id=x style=”inline”] in the table-cell.

    You can change the link just by adding it manually as well : [maxbutton id=x url=”https://example.com” style=”inline”] . You can see all options in the button editor on top ( under how to make your life easier ).

    Hi,

    thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

    As Bas already mentioned, it’s a bit of lucky coincidence that the “Add button” button shows up in the TablePress “Advanced Editor”.
    Right now, the recommended way is, as Bas describes, to manually add the Shortcode for the button into the table cells.

    Version 8.4 of MaxButtons fixes this issue, so you should be able to use the popup.
