Create filter to limit amount of attributes displayed

Hi,
I’d like to create a filter / function to limit the amount of product attributes that are being displayed in a product description.
It will now show the product title and the product attribute ‘brands’, however it is showing 20 or more brands. I’d like to create a function to tell the function ‘mc_get_product_brand’ to show the output but limit the output to 10 brands.
Does anyone know how to create a filter that will limit the amount of output?
Example page with too many brands and the product page.
