Create groups based on category

  • I would like subscribers to select the category of post they want notifications on so that if a new post in a certain category is published, they get a notification. I don’t see in the documentation nor in this support forum. Perhaps this isn’t supported functionality?

    As per my understanding, you want to show the groups for which the subscribers can subscribe when signing up for the newsletter.

    I would like to update you that this functionality is not directly available in Email Subscribers however, you can use the plugin Email Subscribers – Group Selector.

    Yes, In the post notifications tab, you can select your group and categories or custom post type for which you want to send the post notification.

    I am sorry for the miscommunication in the previous reply. Currently, you can only select your categories and custom post types (like products in WooCommerce, etc) in Email Subscribers Post Notifications and no custom taxonomy. A workaround for this is to create a custom post type and select that in the settings.
