create levels for users using myCred

hello, I’m tying to create levels for the user of the page (created with buddypress), like rookie and so, using the myCred points.
I’ve created a table in the data base called wp_nivel with the id, name of the lv and the points it requires. I really don’t know how to connect that table with the user to be able to get that info in a query to be able to show it in his profile. Do I need to user the user meta or create a funtion that only look the number of myCredpoints the user have and make the comparison?
