Create link to a page with posts from author/category

I have a multi-author blog, and each author has an author profile page. Currently on that page it shows some brief info about the author followed by excerpts of all the posts that author has written. What I would like is to get rid of all those excerpts and instead have a few links, each one linking to a page that shows all the author’s posts in a particular category. Is that possible?

So to be redundantly clear (I love me some redundancy! :)), one of the links might say something like: Check out all of Author X’s Restaurant Posts, and clicking on it would yield a page listing excerpts of all the posts that Author X wrote in category Restaurant.

So what would that link look like, if it’s possible to do this?
