    Must be missing something very basic. I’m a user of WP and PlugIns over many years, using “simple-membership” for the first time:

    Install and activate seems fine, all Membership menus seem to be there in WP-Admin interface as per docs, BUT

    Having successfully created one simple “Member” membership level, I simply cannot create a “Member”. Add member dialogue allows me to enter name and email and password, but saving update does not result in any member visible? (Does this member have to be identical to and exiting WP user of the WP web site.)

    I read the instructions first, and again and again!
    What the instructions don’t mention is any relationships between these “members” of the site and “users” of the WordPress installation, names, unique emails and synch’ed pw’s etc.
    The error messages were invisible. (I see this dialogue is actually adding WP users – so better integration of the UI would help – and at least the wording in the dialogue. Anyway eventually sorted after a little trial and error when I found the error message.)

    The most obvious upgrade would be to ensure the member creation dialogue allowed you to select from existing users and add if new. No?
