• Hello everybody! My client wants to make an on-line magazine with WordPress that will post new articles twice a year. It’s supposed to be the online version of a printed magazine. He would like to have a “New” badge on the corner of the thumbnails of all the new articles posted. This badge should disappear as soon as the articles of the newest edition are published. So all articles that are posted on the same day should have this badge and lose it as soon as articles are posted on a more recent date. I was looking for a plugin to do that, but I could only find something similar for woocommerce products (YITH WooCommerce Badge Management). Is there a way to do that for normal blog posts as well? Thank you in advance and have a nice day! ??

  • It’s not been updated in a while but templatic badges seems to do what you want, you may need to make alterations to put the badges where you want and style them how you like.

Thanks for your reply! The problem with this plugin, besides not beeing updated for a long time, is that I can’t make the bagdes appear automatically on the most recents posts and set a date how long it should be there. I was hoping to find a solution for that.

Don’t think that functionality exists (yet) so would either be added to an existing plugin or custom made for your site.
