create new site whilst showing existing site

    Hi
    I am new to wordpress and creating websites. I have no coding experience.
    I have created a theme in an application called Artisteer.
    It is applied to some pages I have created in WordPress.
    The site is https://www.grafiskdesignstockholm.se
    I have now purchased a themeforest theme called U-design.
    If I merely apply this theme to the current website it does not work.
    I guess i need to start entering media and such from scratch into the new theme
    however
    I want to keep the media for the old theme intact and visible, whilst I am working on fixing the new theme and data/media.
    How do I work on one without disturbing the other.
    I am a beginner and don’t want to take up lots of other peoples time, so any quick tips or info on where I can get detailed information to help me, would be appreciated. Infact any help atall.
