I’ve been tasked with moving a WordPress site from one Windows server to a new one. I’m planning on using the plugin Duplicator to do this. My question is this: when I install WordPress on the new server, should I use the same WordPress account that is on the original server or would it be better to use a new WordPress account?

I’d change your password on the new server (but use the same user id), simply in case the old server “falls into the wrong hands”.

    Thanks!

I’m pretty sure your WP installation on the new server will get wiped out by the migration. So, you will end up with the same admin account regardless. No worries though, just change the password after migrating.
