Hi. I’m building a new website for a friend using WordPress. He has a static HTML site now. What I need to know are the steps to do this. We’re basically just getting rid of the old site altogether. No need to retain search rankings or content or anything. All will be brand new including hosting. Here is what I have done thus far:

    1. Set up new hosting account
    2. Installed WP in root folder (using same domain name that he is using now with static site)
    3. Pointed nameservers to new hosting

Now, I can log in to WP and start building, however, when I visit the site’s URL in a browser I still see the old static site. Perhaps the nameserver transition has not taken full effect yet (I just did it yesterday). But my main question is are there any steps I missed here? Is there something more I will need to do in order to have the WP site show up when visiting the existing site URL? Let me know if more info is needed.

For a little more background. Here is the URL and the new WP login URL.

Hope the mods don’t close this down as a dupe. I could not find this specific answer anywhere in the forums.
