Create or Find a Venue in event detail

    Hello support,

    We have a problem with creating new Venue inside the event detail.
    The first venue could be created normally, but if I want to change the venue and click on Create or Find a Venue, No input boxes for the address are displayed (In css they all have display:none)

    This bug has been in The Events Calendar for a long time (As far as I know, at least two years).

    • It is not template dependent (tested on different default templates)
    • It is not a dependency on the version of The Events Calendar
    • It is not dependent on the version of wordpress
    • Not caused by a conflict with another plugin (I have only The Events Calendar installed on my test site)
    • It is not dependent on PHP version (7.4 or 8 does not work)

    Am I doing something wrong or am I misunderstanding?

    For a future project, this needs to work well, and it also needs to work through Community Submissions. So we’re happy to buy the PRO version, but this needs to work well.

    Hi there,

    Thanks for writing in with your question!

    In order to add a new venue from the “Add Event” page, you just need to start typing the name of the new Venue in the input box of the dropdown and then either hit the ‘enter’ key or click on ‘Create: [New Venue Name]’ and then those fields will display.

    This will work the same way for the Community Events submission page. Please let me know if that makes sense or if you have any other questions!

    Oh, yes! Thank you.
    So that’s my misunderstanding.
    I think it might be an idea for future improvements. If you click on Create or Find a Venue: to display the input fields to create a venue but this works too.
    Does it work the same for visitors in the Community Events plugin?
