I found a post from two years back where it was explained that this feature was not supported yet. LINK

Has this been implemented? If not can you provide some pointers on how we might be able to implement this on the backend. I’m sure someone out there has done this already as we can’t be the only ones that take orders from the backend of the store vs. from the front only. Thanks…

  • Hi

    Thanks for reaching out.

Are you trying to edit Backend Orders and apply a discount?
If so, it might not be possible.

We would like to let you know that ours is a dynamic discount plugin that applies discount only by adding the product to the cart on the fly.

Our plugin doesn’t store sale prices on the products configurations.?Unfortunately, it is not possible to use the plugin on the backend orders.

We are so sorry about that. Thanks for your understanding.

Let us know in case of any further queries.?
We would be glad to assist you.

    Thanks

    Hi,

Thanks for the prompt response. We have an idea for a solution.

We are going to populate a postbox in the new order page with all coupons and hide them. Then unhide the coupon when the page refreshes when a product is added. We will then query the quantity and auto apply the coupon. And then set an event listener for quantity changes and reapply. It does mean for each discount rule we will also have to create a coupon but figure we can just export the discount rules, copy and paste, and then set as coupon.

At some point we will figure out how to tie the coupon back so that in the event the discount rule changes it will be update the coupon to reflect the discount rule.

Will update you when we have it working. Might be something you would want to include in a future release.

    Sure @nmballa.

    Thanks for the valuable feedback.
We recommend you to check from your end and let us know if your custom functionality works.

Feel free to reach out in case of any further queries.

    Thanks
    Team Flycart
