Create Read More Buttons To Expand And Collapse Long Text

I have a couple pages on my WordPress site with long text that I’d like to have appear shorter but expand when the user clicks on a button.

I’d like to be able to insert an image for the button or have it use the same buttons as the ones on my theme.

The one plugin I found only allows for bbcode which limits customization and functionality.

Can anyone assist with this? Any help is really appreciated. Thanks.
