Create sorting option ‘By Discount amount’

    Hello,
    I want to add an extra option to the sorting options list to sory products by the Discount amount. I don’t mind writing a custom function, but I’d like some guidance on how to do so.

    I’m using wordpress 6.5.4 with woocommerce 8.7 and php 8.0.28

    Using a plugin is also a very good solution, if you know one that can do what we need.

    I was able to find this thread, on the subject, with a web search.

    Furthermore, for reference, this particular forum is meant for general support with the core functionality of WooCommerce itself. For development and custom coding questions, it’s best to ask for insight related to those on either the?WooCommerce Advanced Facebook group?or the?WooCommerce Community Slack. Many of our developers hang out there and will be able to offer insights into your question.

    I wish I could help more, but hopefully, this gets you going in the right direction to get some further insight.

    I’ve seen the plugin they suggest in the post but it’s not what we need.
