I am trying to plan a unique website. I want to allow members to sign up and create a profile and not to interact with any other member (all private). I then want these members not to have any access to directories or other features.

This profile based website will be for people to upload a CV and describe their work experience etc (with works well with UM)

I want allow access (another user role) for employers to login and search for the right candidate by viewing the members profiles.

Another feature is to only give the employers access to relevant directories that are set up relative to their industry. This would entail having a number of directories set up which are linked to a mandatory question on the customers profile page.

Is this possible to do this with UM? I have been trying to get to grips with the plugin over the last few days but cant find anything on any of the forums to help me on my way.

    Any information would be appreciated.

    Hi,

Yes you can use the UM access control functionality to limit pages to specific user roles. You can use this to restrict access to certain pages for certain roles.

    Thanks
