    If you have set the start page with our “Business Template” means changed the reading settings like as in this screenshot then you can place calendar or many more widgets at the footer section only.

    In case if reading setting set only for posts on the Homepage (screenshot) then you could place widgets either at the footer or at the sidebar of the page. ( Screenshot )
