Hello. Great plug-in! I tried three different versions of multi-vendors and stopped at yours, using a free version. Great work!

But I have a question about the categories of stores. When we go to the store list page, all the stores are displayed and the user starts the search by the name of the store.

Question. How can I make categories in the category of shops? So that the user moving to the list of shops could first choose the category of stores (for example: car goods, electronics or textiles), and then chose a store or looked for in a store in this category?

    Thank you.

  • Hi @nikonn,

We are glad to hear that your are enjoying Dokan Lite over other solutions.
Currently Store listing doesn’t allow to search via category but it’s an interesting feature to have, so we will have this noted so that we can work it out in future.

Thanks and let us know if you need further help with anything else.

I have an additional question on compatibility with multi-site, I have not found this information anywhere.

How will your plug-in work on the multisite, you need to activate on each site or activate for everyone on the main site?

Since the categories of shops can not be created, then adhering to my first question on the topic – “category of shops”, would I want to compensate through the multisite system – subdirectories? Is it possible and how to activate the plug-in – separately on each site or common for everyone?

    Thank you.

Dokan is not compatible in network mode, so it’s not possible to create multiple stores in network mode.

You are trying to search stores with product categories, right?? You can achieve this by customizing the search so that in only searches for stores with given product category.

    Thanks

I apologize for the unnecessary concern. But how can this be done?

You need to implement a custom search functionality where you need to add an extra category field along with the current search field. And override the search results using custom code to search stores with the selected category products.
