Create Templates for TT3

    What is the best way to create my own templates for TT3. Using this plugin or is there a simpler way on the live site. Scope is:

    Create a template I can theme in say 3 variations or more:

    • Dark
    • Light
    • Modern

    Theme shall ONLY apply to part of the site, so it’s not actually a theme, but rather a sub theme. It shall be selectable by an editor of that part of the site, so that she/he can create a unique style to this part. Fx Library, Disco, Skate Rink etc.

    I’m quite happy with TT3, so no change there thx…

    Hey there @hebhansen – creating custom templates is built into the Site Editor, so no plugin is needed!

    • If you visit Appearance > Site Editor > Templates, you’ll see the option to create a new template at the top right
    • Click the “Add New”button
    • Then select “Custom template”

    Once you’ve created your template, you can then apply it to any static page or post on your site by selecting it from the drop-down list under Templates.

    An alternative route to creating a custom template is by clicking the “Create template” icon in the same area as above, directly within a page:
