Create user account

Hi @tiema,

To force WooCommerce to use the email address as username log into the WordPress admin and go toWooCommerce > Settings > Account and Privacy, you can scroll down to a section called “Registration Options”.

This allows you to tick a box called ‘Automatically generate username from customer email’.

Yes I know this function but the problem is that when creating the chosen woocommerce account takes the first and last name then adds a dot (.) in the middle of the two and defines as user name.

For example:

Name: Smith
First name: Will
Username will be: will.smith

I want the username to be the email.

As an additional note, I would recommend using a plugin like Code Snippets by Code Snippets Pro to add custom PHP code to your site without directly accessing the functions.php file.

Make sure to provide a screenshot, your system status and any error logs in WooCommerce.

You can find the system status via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”. Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

Error logs can be found under WooCommerce > Status > Logs (if available).
