Created “Search” Page an Now Index Will Not Load

Hi, I am hoping someone might be able to give me some advice.

I was working on my site today and I created a new “page” with the slug “search” which I think over wrote something on my blog because after I did this my site will not load the index.php as my mainpage and simply defaults to the actual “Search” feature in my blog saying, what I am looking for cannot be found and would I like to search for it?

If I browse my blog by category all the information is still there and displays properly like how the main index should look, but the main index does not seem to be being seen.

I backedup any PHP pages I had made changes to and the problem persists. Is there a default “search” slug already in place with wordpress and by creating one with the same name did I create a conflict?
