I used the plugin, previewed the Story but upon publish it’s nowhere to be found. I searched for possible settings I missed, but there’s very little to configure prior to use.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi there,

Thanks for your report. It looks like there might be an issue with your permalinks/rewrites.

If you go to Settings -> General, what are the values for “Site URL” and “Home URL”?

If you go to Settings -> Permalinks, which structure have you chosen there?

Could you try re-saving your permalinks structure without changes to see if this helps?

Tried but it didn’t change anything.

    Thanks for checking!

    That all sounds right.

Given that the Web Stories plugin uses a standard way in WordPress for defining the URL structure, it sounds like there might be a conflict with another plugin or theme. Could you perhaps provide your Site Health information to us? You can share privately if you prefer. This will help us check your set up as well as if there are conflicting themes/plugins.

I could also recommend the Health Check & Troubleshoot plugin to troubleshoot your site. This way you can basically temporarily disable all other plugins, re-save your permalink structure, and see if the issue still exists.

If that does not work, it might be worth reaching out to your hosting provider to investigate further potential issues with rewrites on your site.

@jsncam We are going to mark your topic as resolved as we haven’t received a response. Please feel free to open a new support topic if you continue to experience any issues. Thank you!

It’s not closed….per your request I submitted the requested system info to you privately via Google forms. I’m still waiting for follow up from your team, as I still cannot view Google Stories created w the plug-in.

@jsncam Apologies for the delayed response on this closed topic and thank you for providing the Site Health information. Could you confirm if you tried the recommendation above:

    @luckynasan @swissspidy I helped @jsncam figure this out today.

Nothing to do with the plugin.

The Redis object cache on this Pantheon-hosted site had become corrupted. So the attempt to update rewrite_rules was saying it succeeded, but was not updating the cache, and not updating the option in the database. Thus: 404.

Flushing Redis sorted that out, and we’re trying the latest version of the Redis object cache drop-in from Alley/Pantheon/etc in the hopes that it’ll work better.

Oof, hope you didn’t spend too much time trying to find that root cause! Glad you were able to resolve the issue now. Thanks for the update!
