I would like to create a back-up of my entire site, which I built using the free version of Elementor and the theme Hello Elementor.

My webhost automatically created back-ups frequently but downloading it in the DirectAdmin panel is not that easy for a rookie like me, and the downloaded back-up was over 120 MB in size. I wonder if there is no easier way to create a back-up, be it through another option in DirectAdmin or by using a plug-in.

It is important though that my entire website is back-upped, which means all posts and pages (including text and pictures) and the menu. The purpose of a back-up is that you can restore your site exactly as it was in case of problems. As said, I use the free Elementor and the theme Hello Elementor.

I like the plugin “backwpup” for site backups. It’s free, it’s relatively low impact, it allows you to set up a schedule for automated backups, and it even will move the backups offsite to places like Dropbox.

You may also want to review other backup plugins: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/search/backup

Thanks, but the number of plugins for making backups seems to be extremely large. Hence I rather trust a recommendation by others.

Is backwpup relatively easy to use? I’m a beginner…

I would like to save the backups of my website locally on my computer. It is important the entire site (all posts and pages, including photos and text, and menu) is being back-upped so that I can easily restore the site should something ever go wrong. My site is built using the free Elementor and theme Hello Elementor, I don’t know if using a pagebuilder is a dealbreaker for any back-up plugin.

    I just recommended it.
