• Hi All.

I’ve been able to get a favicon for my site’s bookmark set up but does anyone know where I control the /tagline/ that gets added to the bookmarked page?

In my bookmarks section there always seems to be a bit of text associated with the bookmark and I’d like to control this if possible.

    Thanks.

    Hi All.

Does anyone know how to do this?

For instance my site says “formpig/blog” whereas other sites I see say things such as “My Co-oool Site” or “This is a great link for bunny rabbits” or whatever…

Is there a better place to post this?

    Thanks.

Doesn’t it just take the page title? I am not aware of there being a separate text tagline for bookmarks. Also you don’t bookmark a site, you bookmark a page on a site. So if you bookmark two pages within the same site, you will be able to tell those bookmarks apart as the page titles should be unique for each.

If your theme has SEO features built-in or you have enabled one of the many SEO plugins, you will be able to customise the page titles if you do not like the default.

    ok. /great/. thanks.

so somewhere in my UI I can set my homepage to say something specific by finding the Page Title?

is there a way – or a plugin suggestion – for changing the other pages from “MyWebsite <<Archive>> ThePageName” to something like “MyWebsite ThePageName” in a single operation? I have an awful lot of pages and it is going to get really redundant to do this all the time.

    Thanks!

The page title is usually built in the header.php file of the theme, however you should be able to specify a standard Post Title Format in most of the SEO plugins you can get from the plugin directory.
