Creating a category template for K2

  • I once had a category template working on my site until I upgraded my WP and K2. Then the code I was using stopped working. Before you suggest that I read the Codex – I went there read it – used the correct code and it did not work.
    I really don’t know if editing the archive.php in K2 is an old way of creating a category template since K2 has changed and moved a lot of things that I have to learn in their latest version.

    What happens with the code I used from the Codex is that it makes the sidebar not editable.

    The ACE plugin – not an option! Using the Link-to plugin to link to the category is also not an option since this portion of the site will have a different look.

    The K2 forum – I have found to be a difficult place to get answers to your questions. It’s one the reasons why I try to give help when I can there. So if anyone can help me here – I’d be most grateful!

    I really need help with this. If anyone has any suggestions that I haven’t tried. Believe me… I have not given up and while waiting for help I am on every website I can find through google trying to figure this out.
