Creating a child theme

  • I am trying to create a child theme.
    I have created a folder and included the required files: style.css and function.php (with the style enqueuing).
    But when I activate it, most if not all of the styling is lost. I guess I missed some of the dependencies.
    Would you have any advice? Thanks.

  • A workaround seems to be to copy the ‘lib’ folder into the child theme folder. It’s worked so far for me.

    Yes. Adding the lib directory seems to do the trick.
    Now I can start working on my child theme. Thanks again bobbrown99.
