    I have just started working on a new website for my club and passion, an adventure racing website. I sat down the other day with the event organizers and worked out a plan on what functionality the website should have (listed below).

    1. Information of events
    Google Calendar (would like to integrate the 4 main clubs in Cairns – MTB, Running, Triathlon)
    Four main races of the year

    2. Online Entry & contact database
    We are currently using ACT (a contact database) to keep people informed and would like something online.

    3. A way for members/non-members to communicate with each other.
    buddypress.org (WordPress MU)
    Twitter
    Another google calendar for our own outings.

    Please through around a few suggestions about databases subscriptions and plugins to help me make the organizers jobs easier and create a community. I plan on using the Busy Bee theme. Here’s the old site https://www.adventureracing.com.au
