• Hi, forgive me as I’m new to this and don’t know anything about code.
There are 4 thumbnails on my homepage, after setting the featured image and selecting ‘apply to thumbnail’, the actual ‘box’ size of the image on the homepage was larger than the other 3. For example, on the page the images are 5x3cm, I would like the set of 4 images to all be the same size i.e 5x4cm. I’ve looked at the settings area where it shows 150×150 max, I assume that’s too small to refer to pixels, but maybe millimetres? Any help is appreciated, thank you.

  • Hey, caroom!

The 150×150 is pixels. You can make the default size larger, if you prefer by going to Settings/Media and increasing the size indicated there.

Thank you, how can I translate that pixel scale into something I can understand, like cm? When I select the ‘crop thumbnails to exact dimensions’ box, I’m not given any options to specify what those dimensions should be. At the moment, one of the thumbnails is 285×160, another is 240×160, if these figures refer to pixels, how does that relate to my current setting of 150×150? I would like all the images to be 240×160. Thank you.

I have found the customise options for each of the 4 images. If I select the same option for each of the images, be it, featured slide thumb 250×9999 or thumbnail 150×150 or home-bottom 285×160, the images still do not appear to be visually the same size.
