Creating a front (newb help)

  • Hello,

    This is the first site I’m making, and it’s pretty exciting. However, I am super lost – what a humbling experience!

    Anyway, I am attempting to create a front page/parked page (I’m sorry if this isn’t what you call it). On the page, I only want my logo in the center. I want people to be able to click on it and open up my website.

    How would I go about doing this? I have some ideas, but I’m not entirely sure how to execute them.

    Any help would be very much appreciated!! Thank you!

    I wouldn’t do that if this is your design for a production site. Most people will simply go away.

    If you want to persist in this folly ( ?? ), look for “landing page” plugins.

    Look at using the twentyseventeen theme as you can have a long page with a large hero image behind your logo.
