What I want is to embed a hyperlink in a web page and allow a reader to click on the hyperlink and get the file downloaded. What happens now when the hyperlinked is clicked I get a media attachment page. So the desired behavior is to ignore the attachment page and go directly to the pdf file it contains.

I do not want the hyperlinked data replacing the web page, but, if the browser opens a new tab and calls an adobe reader that would be fine. This would be equivalent to .

Can your plugin do any of this?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hi @lostbits,

Thank you for the new feature request.
We did that feature and it’s available from the downloader 1.2.7 version.

Thanks Edmon. But, sigh. I installed and activated the plugin. My original hyperlink Lawyer letter works but not the way I would like.

The plugin hyperlink [ydn_download href="https://slipbits.com/ydndownloader/attorney-letter-1" title="First Attorney Letter"]brings me to a web page containing information about the document and a link to the document.

When I use [ydn_download] I would like to be able to immediately download the document and not go to an intermediate page. Is this possible?
