Creating a parcel quote and book site

    Hi there,

    I wonder if someone could help with this.

    I would like to know if anyone can suggest any plugins that would help me create a site.

    I did come across a site which seems to do exactly what I’d want and it’s also a WordPress site but as I’m not the most gifted of developers I don’t know how to do what they did

    The main problem I seem to be struggling with is the quote for a parcel form. What the form needs to do is:

    1. Customer enters weight and dimensions of a consignment
    2. Customer enters their collection details
    3. Customer enters their delivery details
    4. Customer pays via Paypal (or other provider)

    Ideally they should be able to sign up for an account for sending future consignments also.

    I did try woocommerce but it doesn’t seem to be designed to handle this type of thing.

    If anyone can help with this I’d be very appreciative. ??

    Hello,

    This isn’t something that looks like it can’t be achieved with a simple plugin.

    You’ll need some sort of back end system that picks up the bookings and allows you to organize the collection and shipment of the parcels – Ideally, the information will go direct to whatever courier is chosen.

    Unless there is an awesome plugin out there (I looked) that does it, you’re probably going to be looking at something bespoke.

    Although the site you linked to above uses WordPress, the quote and book functionality looks bespoke.

    Thanks for the reply.

    The carrier would be my firm for my local area and an international carrier for anything further afield.

    I’ve had a good look as well and I can’t find any plugin that can arrange a collection and delivery.
