    Hi

I have some banner images that I wish to create a pop up on my affiliate site.

These images already have a ‘click here’ or ‘order now’ button drawn onto the image.

I just need to know how to create a pop up with an image that’s clickable.

I tried using background image but i can’t insert a link there.

    Any other suggestions?

    Thanks!

    Hello dear @mack888 ,

Thanks for getting in touch with us.

You can actually make the popup clickable but in the case you described, the whole popup itself will become clickable.
That can be done from the General settings > Behavior on content click > Redirect URL. You can check this screenshot to see the mentioned option: https://prnt.sc/zkpdzm

And for more info you can visit the following article:
How to control popup behavior on content click?

Just note that in this case the person will be redirected to the link you wish not just when clicking the “order now” part on the image but when clicking anywhere on the image.

If this doesn’t work for you, then you may need to use the buttons we offer. But in that case you may need to change the whole popup design so you don’t have many similar buttons. In any case, leaving the tutorial on buttons here.

    Hi

Thanks for the assistance. Yes, the solution worked.

However, when i click on the pop-up, i get a pop-up which says “Leave Site? Changes you made may not be saved”

Any idea why the pop up is causing this message to appear when clicked?

And how do i go about disabling it?

    Thanks.

    Dear @mack888 ,

    Thanks for letting us know.
Glad to see the solution worked.

See, the message you mentioned will appear on every link you may click on your website which will take to another page and not just on the link inside the popup. So it may not really depend on us.

However, there is one mode of popup Opening Events which will make sure the message won’t appear. It’s the Soft mode of Exit Intent. See the mentioned option on this screenshot: https://prnt.sc/zynijr

If you enable that option for the popup, then the other popup you mentioned will be disabled.

P.S. Decided to leave this tutorial on Exit Intent and its modes.

How to open a popup on Exit Intent?
