Creating a private blog with password

  • Hey there, just new to this so any help is appreciated.

    How do I set up a blog that is private and can only be viewed by people who have a password to it? What I’m planning on doing is writing a blog and then sending a password to my friends so that only my friends can look at. Is it possible to do this with word press? If not with WordPress any ideas on how I might be able to do this?

  • In this case you should password protect the whole directory where the WordPress install is – and that’s not a WP question; read the documentation of your host.

    Alternatively you can take a look at the various plugins here: Plugins/Restriction.
