Creating a "subscription" Premium membership section on a WP site

  • I’d like to have a section for premium content on my current site that users gain access to by registering and/or subscribing to that section. Or have a mini site within my site that is password protected.
    Not sure which strategy would work best…
    I know you can make posts private but once a reader registers to the blog they can read. I’d like to make it a bit more restrictive and “VIP”-ish than that. Ideally, I’d like to create a section that is by invite only/paid subscription. Is this possible and how would I go about doing it?
