Creating a video gallery not clear

    I believe I made a mistake in purchasing this product. Support twice explained how to create a video gallery with my own videos. However, what is unclear is that i cannot drag a video. i have to drag a thumbnail, upload a video and then add a URL from the video to the thumbnail.

    But no explanation how to create a thumbnail. Dragging a video does not create a thumbnail. I can use a generic thumbnail, but then every video will have the same one.

    What am I missing?

    I gather that NO gallery plugin has this feature and that it is better to just use an external service for the videos. But the purpose of moving to wordpress was to not have to depend on a commercial service.

    Did I make a mistake or am I not understanding how this works.
