Creating additional images when adding image to post

  • Im creating a theme for my wordpress site, however I have come across a bit of an issue.

    In previous WordPress versions, I could add several custom fields – perhaps 1 for each image. I could then use one image for a banner of that page, and one image as a thumbnail.

    Now, they seem to have just put “Set Featured Image” which would be fine, however..

    I am using a Slider plugin, the WP Nivo Slider i think, which requires me to use the “Featured Image”

    My slider is 700×200 and the thumbnails I require for the posts are 130×130.

    Is there anyway to have 1 image for the featured image, and to add another image for the post image?
