Creating categories in a page

    there should be a blog template when creating page in right box meta. use it.
    and set ‘magazine’ style in customizer->general->posts->layout style.

    it work for me, did you set your page with page-template->blog template and set ‘magazine’ style in customizer->general->posts->layout style.

    it should show a list of blog with magazine style layout.
