Creating Category and Subcategory dropdown boxes

  • Hi,

    I wonder whether OceanWP provides the possibility to create dropdown boxes for Categories and Subcategories.
    Just an example of a possible use case:

    – Main category dropdown: car brands (Volkswagen, Mercedes, BMW etc.)

    – The subcategory dropdown should show the list of models of the selected car brand.

    I hope there is such possibility. Thanks in advance for your help.

    Do you mean to add the Category and subcategory in the menu?

    Yes, you can add it to your menu from the Appearance > Menu. Here you can add the category and subcategory as per your need.

    Thank you for your quick response.

    I do not want it in the menu, but really on the main page. Two dropdown menus, where the subcategory should load the results based on the selection of the main category.

    Here is an example of a website making use of that functionality:

    Unfortunately, OceanWP doesn’t have this feature. You have to write the custom code for it or consult with a developer.
