Creating Chat Groups

    I’ve got the private messaging set up, but I can’t figure out how to add groups. I am using BuddyPress and have two groups there currently, I would like to add group chats for those groups as well as group chats for other purposes (e.g. all users, moderators, etc) and would like members to also be able to create their own chat groups with their friends. Is this possible?

    I read the documentation but I don’t understand how to implement it and create the groups I need. And if I create the groups, can they only be accessible to certain members? Can members view lists of groups and join them?

    Hello, you are talking about user groups by buddypress plugin? and where groups are located on your website?

    Yes I have user groups on buddy press I would like to add live chats to them so members of the groups can instant message each other.

    I would also like the ability to create groups from the chat if possible, from the chat box create group and add users. That is more so what I’m looking for. Please let me know if this is possible. Thanks so much.

    Unfortunately, at this moment our chat have not ability to create groups from the chat box, this is in the development plans for future. But, we can integrate out wordpress plugin with buddypress and there will be join group button in header section of group`s page. And every user that admitted to the group could press the button which open group chat in our chat. This function will be able in few days.

    I’m so sorry – I don’t see any additional group chats. Still only members. I tried creating a new group to see if it would pop up in my chat and still nothing. Is there an extra step I need to take?

    I’ve made some fixes and think it should be good now, Im not sure because as i noticed you are using youzer plugin whick made some changes in Buddypress plugin, but Im almost sure that now it should work well, please update our plugin to 2.4.2 version and tell how it works.

    I can see this fantastic plugin but having few probs.

    I use Buddypress, ImbaChat2.7.1 and WP5.7.2

    Q1: I see [Join Group] on group page – this is confusing as I already joined the group. May I suggest you change to [group chat] and add button to Buddypress tabs (ie; Activity | Profile | Friends | Group Chat | etc…?

    Q2: How can I change look of that [Join Group] button format/text?
