    Hi,
I am trying to use WPPA+featured photos widget and I have selected a gallery. But the featured photos are not displayed on the page. I get the following on the page
There are no featured photos (yet).
How can I create featured photos in any gallery?

Secondly, I have selected “Uploaded photos need moderation.” But when a user uploads a photo, the photo automatically gets published with a tag that “this photo is under moderation”.

Is it possible that the photo gets published only after moderation?
Please help with both of my problems.
    Regards
    Saxena

On the Photo Albums -> Photo Admin -> Edit -> Edit photo information screen you can set the ‘status’ of individual photos to ‘Featured’

When a photo has the status ‘pending’ ( i.e. awaiting moderation ) it is only visible for the ‘owner’ ( uploader ) and moderators ( admin ). Logout or login as a non-moderator other user and you will not see the photo.

Where does it say unsupported format? during upload or when displayimg at the frontend?

During upload. and I can upload video from front-end but not from back-end.

Version 7.0.1 is almost ready for release. You can install a pre-release if you want. This version has only one upload boa, suitable for uploading everything you enabled, a.o. video, audio and pdf documents.

If you want to install this version, do the following:

    – download https://downloads.www.ads-software.com/plugin/wp-photo-album-plus.7.1.00.008.zip
    – de-activate and delete the plugin
    – install the zip on the plugins -> new -> upload plugin, and activate.

The full changelog of this version is:

    * The Photo Albums -> Upload Photos admin page now has only one box to upload all configured filetypes.
The sequence order of video/audio/pdf files and their respective poster files is no longer important,
so you can add an image to a mediafile as well as add a mediafile to an image,
provided the filenames except extensions are identical.
If you upload a zipfile with a directory structure,
this structure will be created as a sub-album structure if it does not already exist, and the items will be placed in the sub(sub) albums accordingly.
You may even upload zipfiles with embedded zipfiles.
    * The Photo Albums -> Import Photos admin page now also supports document files of type pdf.
The sequence order of importing documents and poster image files is not important.
    * The audio stub file was overwritten by the most recently uploaded audio posterfile. Fixed.
    * Fixed a situation where the THREE.js file was erroneously not loaded, e.g. when going with ajax to a 360 display from a page without 360 images.
    * When the available display space for thumbnails was smaller than the thumbnail size, the thumbnail was displayed off the screen. Fixed.
    * The ‘Default photo name’ method as selected in Table IX-D13 is now also applied when importing photos etc.
    * Lightbox on pdf images opens the pdf itsself in an iframe on non-mobile equipment.
    * Pdfs in slideshows display the actual pdfs.

You can add watermarks on images, not on videos.

    Hi Jacob,
How can I allow the logged in user to create his own gallery?
I am getting the option “Create Sub-Gallery”.
Is it that I have to create a general gallery and the users can create their sub galleries in that main gallery or is there any other option where the users can create their own main galleries?
    Regards

I almost completely rewrote the doc page for you (and every other user that also struggles with this).

    See https://wppa.nl/members/

I recommend you to update to the latest version (7.1.03) to benefit from the most recent bugfixes that also affect frontend uploads.

If still questions, pls ask me.
