Creating Link For WPClone Zip File

  • I have sites backed up on WP Clone in zip format but cannot find a way to re install them. I have uploaded to another site and got the link or used a hosting service.
    I’ve watched videos, searched the web and cannot find anything that works, could somebody PLEASE HELP?

    Hello @markyone ,

    I presume that you have tried to restore the website with WP Clone plugin installed on the fresh instance where you want to migrate to.

    The old backup file (zip) should be placed in the proper folder, so the plugin can detect it and give you an option to restore the backup. By default, the folder for backup files should be wordpress/wp-content/uploads/wp-clone/.

    The best advice I can offer however is to use the Backup Migration plugin for this type of job, as it is well-optimized for all WordPress sites and has a top-notch support just in case there are some hick-ups during migration.
