    Hi
I found the following article on how to have multiple calendars using events categories as links in a menu.

    Link to the article:
    https://support.theeventscalendar.com/137718-Can-You-Have-Multiple-Calendars

I successfully added the links and they work; however, the menu items are sub-menu items but don’t display like all of the others sub-menu items on my main menu.

Is the plugin the cause of this of is it something else causing the malfunctioning of the list of sub-menu items I would expect to see?

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Lyse

  • Hi Lyse!

It’s likely this problem is related to your theme. What happens if you switch to the default theme (Twenty Seventeen)? Are events sub-menu items displayed the same way as other sub-menu items?

    Cheers,
    Jeremy

    Hi Jeremy

When I switch theme, because I use UBER Mega Menu on my site, I don’t get to see the main menu, so I can’t tell it’s a theme issue.

    Any other suggestions?

    Thanks
    Lyse

    Hi Lyse,

Could you go to Appearance > Menus > click on sub-menu items, and check if those items have some custom CSS classes?

If so, you may copy/paste those classes on your events sub-menu items.

Please let me know if that helps.

    Cheers,
    Jeremy

    Hi Jeremy,

Those sub-menu items do not have any CSS class configured there.
CSS for those menu items are done through the mega-menu plugin/customizer just like all of the other sub-menu items. So I would expect these to display the same way.

    Thanks
    Lyse

    Hey Lyse,

Looking at your site, it seems like the uber menu is looking for images to display. We use custom post types for our “pages” and events, so if the plugin is looking for those, it’s not going to find them unless it has support for custom post types.

I’m not familiar with the plugin, are you able to manually set images for the menu?

    Take care,
    Ed ??

    Hi Ed,

I made it work with the support from the plugin developer.

Thank you for your time in trying to help me.
