    I use this gallery on several sites so I know it works great, but just updated a new site to WP 4.0, loaded the NextGen Gallery and Public Uploader. When I go to create a new gallery I put the name in, drag a few photos over to test and upload. They start to upload, but then I get a yellow triangle next to the image as it completes and when I hover it says HTML Error. When done uploading all the images go away and it show ) images uploaded.

    @scottietae – I’d suggest checking if your permalinks are set to default. Try updating them to ‘post name’ under Settings > Permalinks, and let me know if that helps. ??

    Well I checked and they are default. So I uninstalled all NextGen plugins. Changed themes and made everything is updated. Now I load NextGen Gallery 2.0.66.29 and when I click on gallery all I get is manage tags. This is very frustrating as I have used this many times.

    So I setup a completely new WP site, default theme, install NextGEN gallery, looks good, try to upload images and get and HTML error and no images update. So this is on 2 different sites now.

    please help … I too re-loaded next gen gallery (latest version) and it won’t let my jpeg files up-load. I get them to the add file list, click start upload, and as they uploading, a yellow triangle appears and then the black box top right comes on and say images did not upload. Help! StephenF

    She has the same exact issue I do, not sure why you would make her create a new post.

    Also not sure what my link will help you with, you cannot see the back side where the issue is. But happy hunting.

    Not sure why you are butting in if you are not helping out. If you read the post you can see I am talking with the author and Becky didn’t seem to need any more information.

    I just purchased the pro next gen and I am having the same issue. When I upload photos I get the yellow triangle box (error) I will continue to watch you tube tutorials unless something gets posted here.

    @scottietae – Referring to your reply:

    “Well I checked and they are default. So I uninstalled all NextGen plugins.”

    You shouldn’t need to re-install. Please change your permalinks to ‘post name’ under Settings >> Permalinks, and that should resolve this upload error you’re seeing. ?? Same thing for you @hssc2014 . Please switch to ‘post name’ permalinks.

    @becky

    I had uninstalled NextGen and updated WP to 4.0, reinstalled NextGen and now all I get is Manage Tags, I don’t even get the rest of the uses of the gallery, so I cannot test your solution.

    @scottietae – All you see is Manage Tags? Hmmm, sounds like you may need to run a reset (this won’t cause you to lose your galleries, just clear any stored cache and restore global settings to default, in the plugin). Please submit a bug report here: https://www.nextgen-gallery.com/report-bug/ referring to this thread, and mention the reset plugin you’ll need to install and run. This should resolve this issue, assuming you have also reset your permalinks to ‘post name’. ??

    So reset is a plugin?
