Creating own WP theme layout but..

    ..I’m making my website styled like these two: https://www.wasted-glamour.org and https://www.opaquealibi.org I’m not sure how to tackle this. Note: I’m really new to WordPress. I have WP installed and everything, but I’m not sure how to actually edit my theme/layout. I want to able to edit and change my layouts. I don’t want all the Archives, Pages, Blogrolls, Meta, or Categories and all the extra stuff when people comment to show up on my site ? wasted-glamour.org/tiffy
