• Hello there. I have a theme (shade pro from themespinner) which has a custom homepage (home.php).

Now I want to add more of those pages! Like about.php or contact.php. Should I upload blank .php documents to the theme directory and edit them there? can I create them from within wordpress? How?

My problem is thus: making static pages where the header and footer and menu are, but no posts, and linking these pages to my home.php page!

Who can help or point me to the right direction?

  • Instead of creating a new post, create a new page instead.

Wow – simple as it is: it indeed did the trick. Although these pages now seem to be only editable for the ‘container’ section. The head and footer are set (in the page template.php document).

Is there a way to add pages that are totally html-free?
