Creating tabs and categories

  • Hello,

    I just launched my a blog and I have a few questions. I’m currently running the WP Twenty Ten theme, but I think my questions pertain to most themes.

    I want to create tabs right below the header (like when you go to ESPN.com and see “NFL,” “NBA,” “MLB” in a row at the top), and make it so that when I post to a certain category, those posts show up under that tab. For example, if I have a tab called “Features,” and then write a new post and tag it as “Features,” in the Categories box, that post would appear (either in full or in a shortened link) when I click on the features tab “Features” at the homepage.

    I’m just not sure how to properly go about organizing my website and posts in this manner.

  • You need category pages. They’ll show up in your nav.
    You make them with custom menus, under appearnce/menus.
