    I just downloaded worldpress and am a complete newbie at it and dont know if what i want is already made a plugin, or if i need to create it myself.

    What i want is to be able to make two different kind of posts. The usual blog posts, and another for longer articles that shouldnt be posted in the same area as the blog posts.

    Is there a plugin that allows you to do something like that?

    Do you know you can put custom menus in widget areas?

    That is what i have done, started with the showcasewidget and put a custum menu in it. Did not work.

    Anyways, i have followed this guide;
    https://justintadlock.com/archives/2010/11/08/sidebars-in-wordpress

    and have been able to add a custom sidebar into the widget area, and put my custum menu onto it. But, two problems occur;
    1. The sidebar is loaded under, or above everything, same as before in other words.
    2. The widgets i load onto it(the custum menu), doesnt show up on the sidebar.

    The first problems probably stems from that the page content goes over the whole page, and not as in blog posts, focused on the left so that the sidebar fits. But if i check the sidebar-page template and looking trough the css, i cant find anything that creates this room.
