    Hi there Woo-ers!

I want to create variables from already existing products. Let me explain more deeply:

My WooCommerce shop is made from a CSV file I get from the distributors I work with so I bulk upload them to the shop with the title, description, price, images, etc. And for example, I have ‘Techsuit iPhone X Case’, ‘Techsuit iPhone 12 Case’ and ‘Techsuit iPhone 13 Case’. I have over 25.000 products on the shop so manually adding variables to every products will catch me aging. My question is: how can I create variables from already existing variables using the example above? For the example above, the variables for ‘Techsuit iPhone X Case’ would be the other 2; for the second product, the variables would be the first and last products, and so on.

Is this possible with a plugin? Which is the best plugin for this? Have I explained my concern clearly?

    Thank you!

    Best regards,
    E.

    Hi E,

You can try the built in CSV importer. It allows you to convert existing simple products to a variable.

    https://woocommerce.com/document/product-csv-importer-exporter/#converting-existing-simple-product-to-variable-product

Does that go into the right direction?

    Kind regards,

It seems incredibly hard for me to achieve this.

Can I do it using YITH Bulk Product Editing? If yes, could you help me with a walkthrough? Or could you explain me the logic as this is the point where my brain fades. I simply can’t comprehend how should I attribute the products their variations. I can’t understand what should be the main product? How do I add those attributes? I mean, I know how to add them when editing the product, but I don’t know how to do it in this situation where my products already exist in the shop.

    Ugh!

Circling back to your first question, if you want to edit or create products, attributes, and variations in bulk, you can use the Bulk Edit Products, Prices, and Attributes extension from the official WooCommerce.com store.

In-depth product documentation can be found here: https://woocommerce.com/document/bulk-edit-products-prices-and-attributes/

Please know that there is a 30-day money-back guarantee if you are unhappy with the products and you can give it a test run to see if the product addresses your requirements.

    Hope this helps!
