Creating WordPress Site Externally

    I currently have my own wordpress site that I built, but I want to build one for my friend. I usee bluehost, but she already bought her domain through go daddy. Is there any way for me to build her wordpress site externally and then later transfer the site over to her domain? She wants her current site to stay up while I work on her new one. Thanks!
